Welcome to The Simple Greek in Orland Park, IL! We are Peggy and Jim, your local owners and operators, and we are very excited to bring this Greek cuisine with a modern flair to our community and into your homes. Peggy has lived in the Orland/Tinley area for over 20 years, and Jim over 10 years. We started off as high school sweethearts that reconnected years later. Now, after a few years of daydreaming and talking about our future plans we can officially say we are also business partners! Opa!

Before our journey into owning our own The Simple Greek location, Peggy was working in healthcare marketing and Jim was in sales, both with over 20 years’ experience. Working our corporate jobs was business as usual until sadly in 2018, Peggy lost her father and was also laid off shortly after he passed. When looking for her next steps, Peggy knew she wanted to find the right fit that would make her happy, give her more control over her future and also give her the flexibility to contribute to her community.

Jim was onboard right away and started researching different business opportunities, one of them being The Simple Greek. Peggy was hesitant at first having never been in the restaurant business before but, being of Greek descent and having the opportunity to serve Greek food to her community, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to explore it further. We decided to take a road trip to a nearby location to scope it out. When we walked in the door and were greeted by the smells of the Greek food and the friendly staff- we were hooked! After that, things just started to fall into place, and it all made perfect sense!

With our restaurant doors open, we can’t wait for you to experience the traditional Greek flavors in our modern quick service setting. We hope that you will join us as a customer and leave feeling like family!
