OHi began as a local flooring shop in Chicago, Illinois in the 1940s by Ray Kautz. Ray, a father of six boys, eventually employed his sons in his store when they were old enough to work. He taught them everything, from the product, to the installation, to the importance of customer service and building relationships. These foundations still carry on into the business today.

Today, OHi offers much more than just flooring - we offer complete interiors, remodeling, and construction for residential and commercial projects. We employ designers, product specialists, project managers, and tradesmen all in-house to ensure the highest quality control possible with minimal sub-contracting. We also offer a large 7,500 square foot showroom that encompasses nearly every product or service available, open to the public.
