Motivated by the realization that the covered gutter industry had yet to produce a viable and effective solution to the problem of clogged gutters, K-Guard, LLC began concept development for the K-Guard Leaf Free Gutter System in 1995. System development began shortly thereafter, and, in 1998, K-Guard earned US Patent #5,845,435 and sealed a contract with the company's first licensed dealer.

In the short time that has followed, the K-Guard Leaf Free Gutter System has quickly earned the reputation of being the premier product in its industry. K-Guard currently has dealers in 30 states and Canada.
