The story of Father & Son Pizzeria started back in 1973.I really enjoyed the pizza business and knew right away that I would like to own a pizzeria someday. Soon, I learned how to cook pizzas and then became a manager. I worked there for about 5 years, quit and did construction for a while, but, I always wanted to get back into the pizza business. In 1983, the Lord created an opportunity for me to acquire my own pizzeria. It was a big step, but my wife, Diane, and I had faith that it was God's will. We borrowed some money and bought some used equipment to get started. I did most of the work remodeling and installing the equipment, with a lot of help from my dad and some friends. The name comes from the Bible, "Father, Son and the Holy Spirit".

We opened this location (23 Mile & Gratiot) in November of 1983 and are still here today. My old boss, the late Sam Rappa, always said "good quality and good service will keep customers coming back." I have always tried to run my own pizzeria with those words in mind. Our ingredients and recipes are top quality, and we always offer great service with a 100% money back guarantee. In 1995 we became a licensed "Genuine Broaster Chicken" outlet and serve some of the best chicken on the planet. In 2007 I developed our "Chicago Style Pizza". It is the only "Double Crust Stuffed Pizza" in Chesterfield Township. In 2008, I started a rewards program for all of my customers. My family and I moved into the Chesterfield area in 1987. After the move, we wanted to order pizza as a thank you to everyone who had helped us. Looking through the phone book, I came upon Father & Son Pizzeria. I liked the name and they delivered, so I called. That was 23 years ago and we have been enjoying their pizza ever since. The staff was and still is friendly, helpful and polite. You feel more like family than just a customer. When our 4 children started school, we established a special movie and pizza night at home. Every Friday the movie changed but the pizza did not. The pizza is the family favorite, but it doesn't stop there. The Bread sticks are to die for, the Broasted Chicken is fabulous and the Greek Salad, my favorite, is just plain yummy. Between the 6 of us, we have tried everything on the menu several times over. Time has changed many things since 1987, but I am happy to say that Father & Son Pizzeria has retained it's quality in food and service throughout the years. If anything, like a good wine, they continue to improve with age.

About a year ago, we happened to walk into Father & Son Pizzeria just because it was there and it was dinner time. Initially, we thought the pizza was really good. We decided we would order again. Well, we have been ordering ever since!!! As a family of 4, we all have our favorite things that we like the best. When we ask for light sauce, we get light sauce. The vegetables are cut to the perfect size to cook the way they should, not too soggy or not too hard. The pizza is never raw or doughy. Lastly, the Chicago style pizza is out of this world!! There are other items on the menu that look really great, but we can 't seem to "not order" the pizza. It's too fantastic, we are 'Hooked on it" and we are not going anywhere else! In addition to the quality of the food, the staff is always very friendly and earnest. When they ask how you're doing, they seem to really care. They seem to know that the customer's time is valuable also and treat all of us with great courtesy. This place truly has a family atmosphere, and we as customers, are very happy to be a part of. For our honeymoon, my husband and I traveled to Chicago and, for the first time, we ordered and fell in love with true "Chicago Style Pizza". When we arrived home, we really wanted some "Chicago Style Pizza" and searched for a nearby pizza place that served a true "Chicago Style Pizza". After trying several places, we still could not find one that came close to the pizza we had in Chicago. Until.... Father & Son Pizzeria announced that they had started to make authentic "Chicago Style Pizzas"! It is not only an awesome "Chicago Style Pizza", but, it is even better than the pizza we had in Chicago! We also fell in love with all of thier other products, and thier service is awesome. We drive 15 - 20 minutes just to have Father & Son pizza. We have introduced Father & Son Pizzeria to our family and friends and, to no surprise, they are all "hooked"! We love you guys!
