Teen Driver Education

AAA Minneapolis is committed to developing low risk and skillful drivers. Our driver education program offers curriculum that includes engaging sessions, active learning and impactful discussions led by our experienced instructors; we provide a foundation that helps mold your teen into a low risk driver.

• 30 hours of Classroom instruction utilizing the AAA How to Drive Textbook and the Minnesota Driver’s Manual

Senior Driver Improvement

Driving is a skill that can and should be continually improved. By taking an online or classroom driver improvement course, you can keep your driving skills sharp and get the most out of your vehicle, while reducing risk to you, your passengers and others on the road. Taking a comprehensive driving improvement course will help ensure that you are aware of the most up-to-date driving techniques and understand the latest vehicle technologies.

In addition to online resources, such as SeniorDriving.AAA.com, AAA has gathered the most recent research and designed RoadWise Driver to address the issues that make driving more dangerous for seniors. As a group, senior drivers are at a higher risk of having a serious collision per mile driven than any other age group except for those under age 25. Our in-depth curriculum provides practical tips, training, and tools to help prevent you from being involved in the top-5 causes for senior car crashes and more.

Classroom Instruction

Continuing education and refresher training will help you maintain your mobility independence and keep you driving in a safe manner for a longer period of time.

The RoadWise Driver course for seniors has been created by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, to construct a robust curriculum packed with countless useful tips, proven methods, and practical knowledge for seniors to use while driving. Fueled by science and backed by research, this program provides tools to help seniors maintain their independence and reduce risk on the roadway.

AAA Minneapolis recognizes the special needs of older drivers and have developed a course to address these issues. Our Senior Driver Improvement Program classes are offered at our headquarters office in St. Louis Park, as well as other locations around the metropolitan area.
