Decorating - Spa, Hot Tub & Sauna
Soaking away your daily stresses in your spa, hot tub, or sauna is such a luxury. If you are among the many that have a spa you are definitely lucky. There are many options when designing you spa or hot tub. But one thing to keep in mind is that you want the soothing heated water and foaming bubbles to be the main focus.
Materials - Materials you choose for your spa or hot tub will be the area you have the most play. You can choose anything from natural stone to Mediterranean inspired tiles. You want to keep in mind when designing the layout for your tub how many people you wish to accommodate at any one given time. An average size tub usually holds between 6-8 people. You will want plan areas where some can sit and where some of your guests can lounge back under the bubbling water, and of course every spot should have access to the soothing jets.
Plants - If your hot tub is an outdoor one it will be a great touch to add some planted foliage around the perimeter. Since the hot tub is for relaxing you will be able to get away with planting in a nearby location. There should be no fear of rough housing or playing around the tub, only relaxing. Adding the planted foliage will add to the relaxing mood of a hot tub as well, it will make you and your guest feels more secluded.
Dry Spots - Making sure there is always a place to set your cold drink is always a must as well. Whether you will be sipping on a refreshing cocktail or downing ice water you definitely need place for drinks. Having a safe, dry place to store towels for you and your guests would be a nice touch as well. You can use a wicker laundry hamper, the wicker material will add to the outdoor relaxing feel you should have when enjoying your hot tub.
Hot tubs can be found anywhere from outside under the stars to inside, or under a covered screen. Anywhere you decide to install your hot tub is sure to attract many looking for fun and relaxation.
